This project entailed the complete redevelopment of the former Ormonde Cinema Site in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, to provide a mixed development of 15 social housing units for Waterford City and Council.
The development which was successful at the Irish Council for Social Housing 2017 Social Housing Awards has provided a mixture of accommodation: three 3-bedroom, nine 2-bedroom and three one-bed units.
The extent of the services provided include complete mechanical and electrical services design, consultant role throughout from initial design stages right through to project completion. A high quality/low maintenance approach to design was taken, with a strong emphasis on usability and maximising energy efficiency with the inclusion of air-to-water heat pumps, under floor heating, and high levels of insulation.
